Baldur Hotel will host a Community Holiday Gathering on Saturday December 23rd. There will be music, present draws, desserts and appetizers, and children's activities in the afternoon followed by Chase The Ace, more food, specialty drinks and evening musical entertainment. This is a fundraiser for The Thomas Poole Building, home to the Baldur Museum and Baldur Gym, but it will also be a chance for family and friends to gather together to kick off the Christmas Season.
Digital Health Week is November 13-19, recognizing how technology and digital health is transforming the delivery of health care across Manitoba and Canada. In conjunction with Digital Health Week, you are invited to a Telehealth information session.

The next Home Routes concert is at our place (230 Schultz Street, Baldur) on Friday, Nov 24 with Tim Williams.

For the best and most complete information regarding Tim and his music, I encourage you to check out his website at https://www.cayusemusic.com/ , but here's a couple of quotes from the site.
"Imagine, if you can, a front porch where Robert Johnson, Hank Williams, Hula Hattie, Flaco Jimenez and Bob Marley meet often and discover just how much they have in common. Tim's music would fit right in."
"Tim Williams is a blues-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist. He is a 40 year veteran of the 'Roots' music scene in North America, roots which stretch back to the coffee-house scene of his native California in the mid 60's.
Settling in Canada in 1970, Tim is a studio musician, producer, and a performer in constant demand. He has played Folk / Blues / Jazz festivals and concert halls and clubs from Halifax, to Vancouver Island, to the Yukon.
Inspired by the Hillbilly and Western Swing music he heard as a child, Tim absorbed late Fifties Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll, Hawaiian and Mexican music, early Sixties Folk, and Bluegrass “like a sponge” before discovering a passion for traditional blues styles which was fueled by seeing many first generation blues musicians live during the “Blues Boom” of the mid and late Sixties."
I have been listening to his 2015 album "So Low" (Solo), and as a long time lover of Blues, I am really looking forward to hearing Tim play live. He is an accomplished guitarist and performer who has won many awards and has shared the stage with some of today's best known artists.
